Shadey Minerals Eyeshadow Primer Review + Swatches

REVIEW + SWATCHES

Description from Shadeyminerals.com:
Thicker eye shadow primer to make your eye shadows stay longer also makes the colors pop.
Ingredients list from Shadeyminerals.com:
  • Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil
  • Mineral Oil
  • Caprylic Capric Triglycerides
  • Calcium Carbonate
  • Kaolin
  • Silica
  • Phenoxyethanol
  • Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax
  • Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax
  • Tribehenin
  • Beeswax
  • Sericite
  • Titanium Dioxide
  • Iron oxides

This primer is very thick, like it says in the description. It comes in a very small little clamshell package, but you really don't need a lot so it's fine.

The primer goes on as you can see above as a light nude color, but if you blend it in it becomes very sheer and practically unnoticeable.

The color shown above is Pout from Sleek MakeUP's i-Divine Eyeshadow Palette in Ultra Matte V1.

The primer doesn't help much with smudgeability, but it certainly makes the color last a lot longer. Seriously, this stuff makes your shadows last for days if you don't remove it properly. It also improves how pigmented and opaque a shadow will appear.

CONCLUSION

I really like this primer. I just got it as a sample from my previous purchase from Shadey Minerals, but I will definitely be buying more in the future. I like it about as much (maybe even a smidge more) than Urban Decay's Primer Potion. I'll probably do a comparison post on the two primers in the future. For now, go out and buy this primer because it is great.
